19 people with ties to Florida’s ‘Trap Boys’ gang plead guilty in bank fraud scheme

{p}Nineteen individuals with ties to a Florida street gang called the “Trap Boys” have pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit bank fraud. According to court documents from the U.S. Attorney’s Office, the FBI and the Polk County Sheriff’s Office began investigating the Trap Boys in 2023. The gang was operating throughout the Middle District of Florida, and the investigation and arrests stemmed from several retaliatory shootings involving the Trap Boys and other violent street gangs.
