The state is accepting applications for a red snapper research project that will allow Florida east coast anglers to catch red snapper in the Atlantic Ocean outside of the regular fishing days.
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is conducting three red snapper studies in two areas of the state for which it needs anglers and for-hire captains to fish for red snapper and other snapper and grouper species. Participants will report fishing trip details such as all fish caught and released.
