QUINCY, Fla. (WCTV) – A Havana man died Wednesday evening after being hit by a vehicle on US Highway 90 in Gadsden County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash happened just before 8 p.m. on US Highway 90 near the intersection of 9th Street within Quincy city limits, FHP wrote in a press release late Wednesday.
A vehicle was traveling east on the highway in the inside eastbound lane and a pedestrian, identified as a 63-year-old Havana man, was traveling south across the highway before entering the vehicle’s path, according to the state agency.

Moments later, the vehicle collided with the Havana man, per FHP.
Shortly after, the vehicle stopped on the south shoulder of the road.
The pedestrian was transported to HCA Gadsden Emergency Hospital, but unfortunately, died, FHP said.
His next of kin has been notified, the press release wrote.
