JetBlue will end seasonal nonstop service between Southwest Florida International Airport and Providence, Rhode Island, on Sept. 9 as it expands operations at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.

JetBlue will discontinue its seasonal nonstop service between Fort Myers’ Southwest Florida International Airport and Rhode Island T.F. Green International Airport in Providence on Sept. 9 as the airline shifts aircraft to expand operations in Fort Lauderdale, The Points Guy reports.
The route debuted as a winter seasonal flight in October 2024 as part of JetBlue’s expansion in New England.
The Points Guy reported the airline plans to increase daily departures at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport from about 130 to more than 150 this winter, making the airport a larger hub under JetBlue’s JetForward strategy.
