LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. (WINK) — A wanted suspect barricaded themselves inside a vehicle after crashing into a ditch in a wooded area near Ridgemont Drive and Welby Lane in Lehigh Acres, according to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities said this incident is connected to a scene in the 400 block of Willowbrook Drive on Thursday morning.
The suspect allegedly barricaded themselves inside the vehicle before being safely taken into custody.

The LCSO Dive Team assisted in getting the car out of the water.
No further details about the suspect’s identity or the charges they face have been released.
