ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. (WNDU) – St. Joseph County police have identified the victim of a two-vehicle head-on crash Wednesday evening as Lori Wright, 63, of Lakeville.
The crash happened just before 5:30 p.m. in the 68000 block of Miami Highway.
According to investigators, Wright was driving a Volkswagen Jetta north on Miami Highway when the car came to a curve and crossed the center line, colliding with a southbound Ford F-150 head-on.
Police said Wright died at the scene. The driver of the F-150 was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
