Crash temporarily shuts down Florida’s Turnpike northbound ramp from SR-408
In Orange County we have *** major shutdown along the State Road 408 ramp to Florida’s Turnpike. So just the northbound ramp is shut down getting onto the turnpike this morning. This is *** look at that traffic map. So if you’re traveling from Gotha trying to get to Winter Garden or Ocoee, this is certainly going to impact that morning drive. The detour this morning is Exit 1 over to State Road 50, or you can also exit here at Good Home. Road and takes State Road 50 as the detour. So ramp fully shut down, but just to the northbound side of the turnpike. This is *** live look at that traffic camera. You can see where that ramp splits. So if you travel in this area, you know how that works. The right side goes north, left side goes south, so you can see cars accessing the southbound side, but northbound to the turnpike, you are going to have to exit before that because there was *** big crash there. With some injuries and it happens around 3:30 this morning. So working to clear about two hours later. We’ll keep you updated as we learn more. I-4 though, we’re off to *** nice quiet start. Still no traffic issues along the I-4 corridor. This is *** live look near the Lee Road exit. Still dark and early this morning, and those travel times along State Road 408 actually aren’t impacted by that crash right now. Between the turnpike interchange and I-4, both directions were at less than 8 minutes.
