More afternoon showers, storms and heat across Central Florida – Orlando Sentinel

More showers and thunderstorms are scheduled for another hot day in Central Florida.

Main storm threads are frequent lightning strikes, gusty winds, small hail and locally heavy rainfall, according to NWS Melbourne.

Temperatures are gong to be in the low-to-mid 90s across the region, with peak heat indices ranging from 100 to 107 degrees.

There is a moderate risk for rip currents at all area beaches.
