LAURENS COUNTY, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – The Laurens County Coroner’s Office announced that a man from Florida drowned in Lake Greenwood on Thursday morning.
Officials said they were notified around 11:30 a.m. of a death that occurred at a home in Waterloo in reference to a possible drowning that occurred in Lake Greenwood. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The coroner identified the victim as 81-year-old Glenn Cameron of Hawthorne, Florida. Cameron had a second home on Lake Greenwood in Waterloo.
Officials reported that a forensic autopsy was conducted on Friday, and the cause of death was determined to be drowning, and the manner of death has been ruled an accident.
The incident is currently under investigation by the Laurens County Coroner’s Office.
