• I’m ticked off at the recent letters to the editor submission against the proposed plan to ban high-speed e-bikes and e-scooters at schools. Just because they might justifiably ban e-bikes for obvious reasons, it doesn’t mean that students will have to walk to school or get a ride from their parents. They can very simply ride regular pedal-power bikes to get to school, just like kids have been doing for hundreds of years. What a concept! This important ruling could also save your child or grandchild’s life someday.

• I’m ticked off that at this point in time of the ascendance of mankind, we haven’t learned that we are not competitors. Our strength is in our cooperation.

• At the intersection of Centerpointe Circle and Central Parkway in Altamonte Springs, there still are orange barrels and barriers left from the Red Hot & Boom celebration. It’s time they were picked up and taken away.

The flip side

• I’d like to thank the wonderful people who work for the Orange County 311 app. They have solved several neighborhood problems. We really appreciate all your assistance in keeping our neighborhood looking good.

• Kudos to Seminole County and to the woman helping push through the proposed ordinance to stop declawing cats! What a barbaric and cruel act to allow people to do to their animals.
