Florida Panthers equipment manager Teddy Richards was released from the Broward County jail on Saturday after his arrest the day before in Coral Springs.
Richards, 43, has been suspended by the Panthers pending an investigation.
He was being held at the main Broward County jail in Fort Lauderdale after being arrested Friday by the Coral Springs Police Department.
Richards was charged with one count of domestic violence and one count of unauthorized use of 911 services.
Per the Broward Sheriff’s website, Richards was released on his own recognizance.
Richards has been with the Panthers since leaving the Pittsburgh Penguins organization in 2016.
He was part of two Stanley Cup championship teams with Florida as well as one with the Penguins.
Richards was also the equipment manager for Team USA at the 2026 Winter Olympics as well as at the 4 Nations Face-Off in 2025 and the IIHF World Championship earlier this summer.
The Panthers say Richards is not allowed to be part of any team activities nor visit any of the team’s facilities while under suspension.
