PAOLA, Kan. (KCTV) – A small plane made an emergency landing over the weekend at Paola’s Miami County Airport after an oil pressure warning, authorities said.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported that the incident happened just after 10:10 a.m. on Saturday, July 18, at the airport located at 32580 Airport Rd.
Troopers said the pilot – a 58-year-old man from Oklahoma – was flying a Cozy Mark IV fixed-wing aircraft northeast when the oil pressure warning activated.

Investigators noted that the pilot diverted from his flight path and brought the plane down at the airport.
KHP said the aircraft sustained damage to its front nose and a landing wheel during the emergency landing.
Neither the pilot nor his passenger – a 58-year-old woman, also from Oklahoma – was injured, Troopers said.
