HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. (WWSB) – A man was arrested July 14 after a coordinated investigation by the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office and authorities in Westchester County, New York.
Investigators said Wallace Lake used stolen personal identification information May 6 to steal more than $20,000 in jewelry from Jared Jewelers on West Brandon Boulevard and Kay Jewelers at the Brandon Exchange.
A warrant was issued for Lake’s arrest on a second-degree grand theft charge and multiple fraud-related offenses. Detectives later located him in Mount Vernon, where he was taken into custody.
