A Jacksonville man is expected to be OK after two gunmen shot at him at a Northside food store Sunday night, hitting him eight times, according to Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office investigators.
JSO officers responded to the 6700 block of Buffalo Avenue on Jacksonville’s Northside around 8:45 p.m. Sunday to reports of a person shot. When they arrived, they found a man in his early 20s suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
He was taken by his girlfriend to a nearby hospital where police say his injuries are currently listed as non life-threatening.
Investigators said the man was at the Buffalo Food Store when two unknown men approached him and shot multiple times in his direction. The man was hit eight times in the side, hand, back and thigh, police said.
Investigators said the men ran from the scene, and they believe the incident is isolated, since a woman known to the victim was with the suspects at the time of the shooting.
Police are looking for two Hispanic men in their early 20s.
