TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Florida’s Primary Election will take place on August 18, which means time is running out to register to vote or change your party affiliation.
The registration deadline is Monday by the close of business at each local Supervisor of Elections office.
The primaries are for governor, U.S. Senate, Congress, several state legislative seats and local elections.
Monday is also the deadline to change your party affiliation. Florida is a closed-primary state, meaning only voters registered with a political party can vote in that party’s primary.
Those who still need to register can also visit www.registertovoteflorida.gov/home.
Voters are urged to check with their local Supervisor of Elections offices for early voting deadlines.
