Man found dead near Fort Lauderdale roadway after possible hit-and-run crash, police say

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Fort Lauderdale police are investigating the death of a man whose body was discovered Monday morning along a roadway.

According to police, the department was called at about 8:15 a.m. about a body being found along the 2600 block of West Commercial Boulevard.

Detectives believe the man might have been killed in a hit-and-run crash.

Sky 10 was above the scene shortly before 10:30 a.m. as a damaged e-bike was in the grass near the roadway.

Police said FLPD’s Traffic Homicide Unit is at the scene investigating.
