JACKSONVILLE, N.C. (WITN) – Police have identified a man killed 10 days ago in a pedestrian hit and run crash on a busy street in Jacksonville.
It happened around 12:30 a.m. on July 10th at Western Boulevard and Gateway Drive South.
Quentin Aguirre, of Yorktown, Indiana, was hit by two vehicles, police say. The first vehicle stopped to help the victim, but police say a second vehicle, pulling a U-Haul trailer, did not.
The 30-year-old man later died at a hospital.
Police this morning released store surveillance video of a truck whose driver may have been a witness to the hit & run. The truck possibly has a bucket boom and appears to be pulling a trailer carrying cable.
