The average age for members of The Altons can’t be more than 32 years old, but the Los Angeles band’s sound is much older.
The quartet, as vocalist and guitarist Bryan Ponce explained to the L.A. Times, is unmistakable product of East L.A. where weekends on the street are often soundtracked by parties blasting anything from cumbia, to punk rock or Art Laboe-approved oldies.
Drawn in by the pull of frontwoman Adriana Flores along with the sometimes multi-lingual, always retro, sound of singles like “Love You Like That” (2025) or the band’s long-awaited Daptone Records debut full-length Heartache in Room 14, fans of The Altons are just as diverse and often span three generations.
After summer festival dates and one-offs on the west coast, The Altons will jump on a plane for a short tour of Florida that includes three stops ahead of the Sublime Reef Madness Cruise out of Miami.
