Brayden Tennyson, 2, died in Kissimmee, the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office said.Investigators said that a 4-year-old accidentally shot him with his mother’s gun after the child found it in a car. The family had traveled from Georgia to Florida to celebrate Brayden’s birthday. The sheriff’s office announced Monday that Brayden’s mother, Shakelia Tennyson, has been charged with culpable negligence. She is currently back in Georgia, and the case has been referred to the state attorney’s office.
