JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Jacksonville Fire and Rescue confirmed that it’s responding to a house fire on Jefferson Road in the Sandalwood neighborhood. The agency said as of Monday evening, the fire was under control.
The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office also confirmed that it’s assisting another agency in that area.
News4Jax records show this is the same house neighbors in the area describe as a nuisance home that has drawn repeated visits from law enforcement over the last couple of years.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
