TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – A Crawfordville man was found guilty of attempting to entice a minor for sexual activity, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
Raymond Shiver, 36, was arrested as part of an undercover operation in April 2025.
Court records show that, during the operation, several fake ads were posted by law enforcement on websites commonly used for prostitution. Shiver responded to one of the ads and began texting with an undercover officer posing as a 15-year-old girl, according to court records.

Shiver expresses interest in engaging in sexual activity with the child in exchange for money. He then traveled to meet the child and was arrested, court documents show.
Shiver faces a minimum mandatory sentence of 10 years and up to life in prison. He will also have to register as a sex offender. Sentencing is scheduled for September.
