TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Tropical Storm Bertha will begin moving away from the Tampa Bay area faster today and will take a lot of the deeper moisture with it.
This will allow a pocket of drier air to move in today and tomorrow, bringing rain chances to just 30%. Only spotty, quick showers are in the forecast Tuesday and Wednesday.
Tuesday will still be windy with gusts of 20-30 mph at times. Winds will come down some on Wednesday but will still be on the breezy side out of the southeast.
Moisture will increase again toward the end of the week and into the weekend, but rain chances will still be below normal.
Temps will heat up and highs will be in the mid-90s through the weekend.
A weak cold front approaches early next week with higher rain chances again on Monday and Tuesday.
