FORT PIERCE, Fla. (CBS12) — A shooting into an occupied Fort Pierce restaurant Sunday night left bullet holes in the business and several patrons shaken, but no one was injured, police said.
The Fort Pierce Police Department said its officers responded at about 7:59 p.m. July 20 to Sugar and Spice Restaurant, located at 2515 Okeechobee Road, following reports of a shooting.

When officers arrived, they found multiple areas of bullet damage to the building and recovered a projectile that had become lodged inside the business.
Police said approximately five people were inside the restaurant at the time of the shooting. No injuries were reported.
The restaurant’s owner told investigators they had received threatening text messages shortly before the shooting. The messages were reportedly connected to an ongoing financial dispute, according to police.

Detectives are actively investigating the incident and have not released information about any suspects.
