BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) — Six passengers aboard a cruise ship were arrested at Port Canaveral on various warrants, according to deputies.

One passenger from Georgia, Martell Murray, had a warrant referencing a violation of his release conditions for murder charges, the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office said in a Facebook post on July 17.

Murray’s cabin mate, Kenderia Burney, had a warrant for violation of probation, according to BSO.

The sheriff’s office said Veronica Hamlet from Tampa had a warrant for failure to appear, and James Brewton from South Carolina had a violation of probation warrant.

“To put the cherry on top of the piña colada, two passengers disembarking from their cruise were stopped as they are currently on felony probation and did not have approval to leave the country,” BSO said.

All six passengers were transported to the Brevard County Jail.
