SUV crashes into 3 cars, plows into Tampa restaurant

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A loss of control led to a driver crashing into a Tampa restaurant Tuesday afternoon, authorities said.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said at 2:15 p.m., a driver lost control of his Ford Explorer in a parking lot on Dale Mabry Highway.

The driver hit three vehicles before crashing through the front entrance of Plate Tapas.

Fortunately, no one was seriously injured, and the driver only suffered minor injuries from the crash. No one inside the restaurant was hit by the car.

At this time, it is not believed the driver was impaired. The crash is under investigation.
