PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. (CBS12) — A major multi-vehicle crash on Florida’s Turnpike in Palm Beach County is causing significant delays Tuesday morning, with backups stretching into Martin County.
According to Florida 511, the crash is affecting the southbound lanes of the turnpike from before mile marker 125 at Bridge Road to before mile marker 117 at Indiantown Road. The right lane is blocked as emergency crews respond to the scene.
The incident was first reported at 9:40 a.m. and remained active as of the latest Florida 511 update at 10:33 a.m. Traffic officials classified the crash as a major incident.
