Ferguson, the Newport News-based plumbing supplies distributor, will open an additional corporate office in Tampa, Florida, to support its long-term growth strategy and expand its corporate footprint.

Christine Dwyer, Ferguson’s vice president of communications and public relations, confirmed in an email on Tuesday that the Fortune 500 company will lease space in the Gasworx development located in Ybor City in Tampa.

Tampa Tomorrow relayed that Ferguson was eyeing office space there in an Instagram post.

Approximately 25-50 associates will relocate to the Tampa corporate office from various locations across the country starting in 2027, Dwyer said. The company expects to be operational there by April.

“We value the contributions of our Newport News associates and the work they do each day to support our customers, field associates and business operations,” Dwyer said.

The existing corporate office in Newport News’ City Center at Oyster Point remains open with more than 800 employees working there, Dwyer said. Ferguson employees were notified of the additional corporate office in mid-June.

“We continue to focus on delivering value to our customers, supporting our associates across all of our 1,700 locations across North America and driving our business forward,” Dwyer said.
