Another day, another A-list star moving into the city! And today’s news comes in the form of a luxurious waterfront mansion in Coral Gables, purchased by none other than The Weeknd.
The Grammy Award-winning singer, whose real name is Abel Tesfaye, recently made headlines after purchasing the lavish home for $50 million, having originally been listed for just shy of $55 million.
The 1.2-acre property boasts 574 feet of water frontage and is nestled within the exclusive gated community of Gables Estates — home to celebrity residents like Pharrell Williams and Real Housewives’ Dr. Nicole Martin. It sits on a unique V-shaped peninsula with 19,000 square feet of space and eight bedrooms, nine bathrooms, a 62-foot infinity pool with mosaic floors, a private dock with space for a 200-foot megayacht and terraces offering sweeping views across the city skyline.

According to Realtor.com, the sprawling estate had been on and off the market for the past five years, having first appeared in September 2020 for $49.9 million, then relisted the following year for $54.9 million. It was then taken off the market in April of 2022 and resurfaced again in 2024 with an increased asking price of $57 million, which was later reduced to $54.9 million in June of this year.
