Port St. Lucie police arrest two drivers for reckless driving incidents
PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. —
The Port St. Lucie Police Department arrested two drivers in separate incidents over the past day, saying both cases put others on the road at risk.

According to police, 19-year-old Aiden Gerdvil was driving 97 mph in a 45-mph zone on Southwest Port St. Lucie Boulevard when an officer tried to stop him. Police said he drove away before ending up in a residential yard, where he was arrested. He faces charges including fleeing law enforcement and dangerous excessive speeding.

In a separate case, officers responded after someone reported a driver asleep behind the wheel of a running vehicle. Police said they found 47-year-old Bradford Baker unconscious in the driver’s seat with the vehicle still running and in reverse gear.

After a DUI investigation, Baker was arrested and charged with driving under the influence.
