July 22, 2026 – The Tampa Bay Lightning organization announced that nominations for the Community Hero program and applications for the Community Hero Nonprofit Grant program are now open for the upcoming season. According to a prepared statement, the Community Hero initiative honors individuals who are doing “great work” and “making a positive impact in our community.” The grant opportunity provides $50,000 in funding to nonprofit organizations.
