PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. (WWSB) – A Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office deputy handled his first alligator call with assistance from citizens, according to the agency.
The deputy, who is originally from the Northeast and was not identified by name, used a leash, tape and patience to move the alligator to safer waters.
It was unclear how large the alligator was. It was also unclear whether Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission officers responded to the scene.
