Martin County school bus routes may change to improve efficiency and cut costs
The Martin County School District is proposing changes to its bus routes to improve efficiency and reduce costs, according to district leaders.
The district said the adjustments, which include route consolidation, addressing lower ridership and creating more efficient stop locations, would result in cost savings equivalent to three bus routes. This would save the district $255,000.
Families can now view the proposed bus routes on the district’s back-to-school webpage by clicking here.
While parents can review the proposed routes, the changes are not yet final. The school board is scheduled to vote on the proposal July 28.
