The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said the suspect died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — One person was killed and two others were wounded in a shooting that started as an argument at a home on Jacksonville’s Westside early Thursday morning, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.
JSO said it received a call about the shooting in the 2400 block of Mc Quade Street at 1:49 a.m.
The sheriff’s office said officers found three adults suffering from gunshot wounds when they arrived on scene. All three were then taken to a local hospital, where one of them died, JSO said.

According to JSO Sgt. Johnny Cooke, an argument between a couple happened at a home, during which the suspect shot three roommates. Cooke said everyone involved live at the home and that they are all in their early-to-mid 20s.
While detectives were investigating the scene, JSO said they learned that the suspect had been located in the 2300 block of West Beaver Street. Officers later found the suspect, an unidentified man, dead outside.
“Evidence indicates that the suspect died from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound,” Cooke said. “We currently have two scenes and detectives with the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office Homicide Unit and Crime Scene Unit are actively investigating both of those scenes. I don’t know what the altercation started from. We just know there was an argument and then gunshots started to happen.”
