Friday is mostly hot but showers and storms expected during morning – Orlando Sentinel

On Friday morning, isolated to scattered showers will move onshore from Cape Canaveral.

More development is possible south of Orlando in the afternoon, according to NWS Melbourne.

Temperatures will be in the low-to-mid 90s across the region, with peak heat indices ranging from 100 to 107 degrees.

There is a moderate risk of rip currents at all area beaches.

For Friday night, temperatures will be around 76 degrees, with east winds at 5 to 10 mph becoming lighter and blowing south-southeast after midnight.
