Some heavy rainfall is possible this weekend in South Florida

This afternoon here in South Florida, high temperatures will reach the low 90s with the heat index in the low 100s. Partly cloudy skies and light southeasterly winds.

Some isolated rainfall is possible along the east coast today, but higher rain chances remain inland, with afternoon showers and a few thunderstorms developing near Lake Okeechobee. Any thunderstorm that develops could be strong.

Tonight, partly to mostly clear skies with low temperatures in the 70s and light southeasterly winds.

A few coastal showers are possible.
