Worker hospitalized after fall at construction site near UCF football stadium, officials say
ORLANDO, Fla. —
A construction worker fell approximately 20 feet while working at the UCF West Tower construction site on Friday, according to Seminole County Fire Rescue.
The 29-year-old worker was transported conscious to Orlando Health Orlando Regional Medical Center as a trauma alert.
Seminole County officials reported that the fall was broken by drywall and mesh material.
Contractors stated that the site has been secured and an investigation is underway.
At this time, details about the cause of the incident and the worker’s current health condition remain unknown.
