Old Heights Bistro in Seminole Heights will close this weekend, moving to South Tampa

Old Heights Bistro is leaving Seminole Heights.

After more than a decade at 4703 N Nebraska Ave., the popular neighborhood spot will serve its final guests this Saturday, July 25.

“First and foremost, thank you! Serving you here in Seminole Heights has been an absolute joy, and we are incredibly grateful for the love, laughter, and support you’ve shared with us at our tables,” reads a social media post from the restaurant.

Philip Hutchison and co-owner Shima ran the spot for nearly 11 years. “He does the sushi and I do all the rest of it,” Hutchison says. “We’ve been cooking together for 20 years.”

Hutchison looks forward to the new space. “I got parking, new AC, everyone is nice and willing to work with me,” he says.

The new South Tampa location plans to open by late-August or early-September in Palma Ceia’s former Brunchery space at 3225 S MacDill Ave., which is in the same plaza as Pane Rustica.

Since opening in 2015, Old Heights Bistro (spelled “Olde” on some instances) has been a fixture of the Seminole Heights neighborhood, serving up a variety of beer, wine, and sake, as well as an eclectic menu spanning everything from sushi rolls and hummus, to steaks, burgers, curries and ravioli.

A representative from Old Heights Bistro told Creative Loafing Tampa Bay the new space will only serve breakfast and lunch for the first two years.
