MIAMI COUNTY — UPDATE @ 2:47 p.m.:
The right lane on Interstate 75, north of State Route 41, has reopened hours after a crash involving a tanker, the Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Piqua Post confirmed.
The lane had been closed since the crash shortly after 8 a.m. on Friday.
UPDATE @ 11:42 a.m.:
A crash involving a tanker truck has caused a large backup on Interstate 75 in Miami County for over three hours.

The crash was reported around 8:07 a.m. on northbound I-75 just past State Route 41, according to Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP) dispatchers.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol said a 2021 Volvo tractor-tanker trailer combination and a 2011 Chevrolet HHR were both going north on I-75 near where I-75 merges from three lanes to two.
The Chevrolet was in the left lane and merged into the center lane, hitting the Volvo.
The impact sent the Chevrolet into the median cable barrier on the left side of the interstate.
The Volvo went to the right and overturned, separating from the tanker trailer it was pulling.
While the Volvo stopped just off the right shoulder, the tanker trailer went into a nearby cornfield and began leaking fuel.
Hazmat was called to the scene to help with the cleanup process.
The driver of the Volvo, a 61-year-old Fairborn man, was transported to Upper Valley Medical Center with serious, non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the Chevrolet, a 54-year-old Laura man, and his passenger, a 35-year-old Laura woman, were treated at the scene.
The Laura man was cited for a turn signal/lane change violation, according to state troopers.
The right lane remains closed due to the crash investigation and cleanup.
