The former Jacksonville High School band director faces a sexual assault charge after Jacksonville police say he had inappropriate contact with a former Jacksonville High School student.
Kendrick Moore of North Little Rock turned himself in Thursday on a warrant for a charge of second-degree sexual assault and was released on his own recognizance, a news release from the Jacksonville Police Department states.
On Friday afternoon, an employee at the Jacksonville District Court said Moore is scheduled to appear in court Aug. 12, but refused to provide court records in the case to an Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reporter.
The news release didn’t provide further information about the charge against Moore. It asked for anyone with information about other potential victims to contact police detectives.
