JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Strong storms will continue throughout the evening in Duval, Clay, St. Johns, Bradford and Alachua counties over the next few hours. They are slow-moving southward with heavy downpours, gusty winds at/above 40 mph and frequent lightning.
These storms should start to taper off after sunset.
Sunday’s heat, lingering storm threat
On Sunday, ahead of any storms, temperatures are expected to climb into the mid to upper 90s across most areas.
High temperatures Sunday are expected to remain above normal, generally in the mid-90s, with some areas possibly reaching the upper 90s.
