The Innovation High School Bulls are coming off an 8-2 season heading into year three as a program.

“We started out well, playing some really good teams in the beginning of the year, but we are not quite there,” head coach Leroy Kenard said.

As one of the newer high schools in the area, they are looking to continue their recent success heading into next season and Kenard says the Bulls are turning that corner to state recognition.

“I think this year was a culture shift, bringing in a couple of new coaches because they’ve had success where they were,” Kenard said.

Innovation begins the season with another tough start to the schedule, but they say they are ready for the challenge.

“I think they are very excited, this has been the most excited that I ever have (been). We’ve only had three years so this has been a very good offseason for us,” Kenard said.

The Bulls open their season against Tohopekaliga High School on Aug. 14.
