Friday Night Hits Preview: Edgewater High School
ORLANDO, Fla. —
Following a 12-1 season last year, head coach Patrick Browning is looking to finish the job heading into his second year.
The Eagles remained perfect during the regular season but fell short of a state title against Lakeland High School. Edgewater High School is led on the field by senior captain offensive lineman Sincere Wilkerson.
For the Eagles, it’s all about finding the goal of a state championship this season.
“It makes me very hungry, because last year we had a lot of mental mistakes but a great team. So, this year we want to get further and get where we want to be,” Wilkerson said.
Both Wilkerson and Coach Browning are excited to get back out on the field and pick up where they left off.
“I think they have had a great off-season and it carries over into the summer, so this team is hungry and ready to go,” Browning said.
Edgewater opens the season against Armwood on Aug. 14.
