Former professional Uruguayan tennis player Nicolas Xiviller Pardodeir was arrested in Doral on Saturday after he damaged tennis rackets at a store and threatened employees, police said.
Xiviller Pardodeir was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, criminal mischief and disorderly conduct.
According to Doral Police, officers arrived at Tennis Plaza after receiving reports of a disturbance.
Police said that during the incident, Xiviller Pardodeir intentionally damaged two tennis rackets and was then told to leave by employees, whom he had threatened before leaving.
The rackets were valued at $568.
During that night, officers found Xiviller Pardodeir at a nearby gas station, and he was arrested.
On Xiviller Pardodeir’s Instagram account, he describes himself as a former ATP player and a pro Padel player.
