A Miami Beach restaurant and nine local bars were named among the best in the world by an international digital guide.

50 Best Discovery, which is an extension of the popular guide for travelers The World’s 50 Best, just released its 2026 latest roundup of the best restaurants, bars, vineyards and hotels around the world. In the restaurant category, only Stubborn Seed in Miami Beach made the cut.

Created in 2017 and led by chef Jeremy Ford, who is also the force behind Salt + Ash in the Florida Keys and Terra in Aruba, Stubborn Seed earned a Michelin star in 2022 and has retained it ever since. Ford also opened a second Stubborn Seed at Resorts World Las Vegas in 2025.

The guide praised Stubborn Seed’s commitment to sustainability.

“Grounded in a sustainability-led ethos, local partnerships like Compost for Life and produce from chef Ford’s Homestead-based farm to inform a menu that looks to the future as much as it does to flavour,” the guide says.

“Fusing Asian and Latin influences, the a la carte and three-tier tasting menu delivers intricately composed plates. Dishes rotate every few weeks and can range from ginger- and citrus-cured Japanese yellowtail with tomato consommé and umami citrus granita to braised leek and Gruyère raviolo finished with potato espuma and crispy smoked pork belly.”

The guide also praised Stubborn Seed’s “stellar” cocktail program.
