GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) – At a special city of Alachua commission meeting at noon on Monday, commissioners will hold a quasi-judicial hearing on a rezoning plan for the controversial farmlands commercial development. On June 22, they voted 3-2 to make land use changes.

Thursday night the Florida 4-H Hall of Fame induction ceremony takes place at the Reitz union. The ceremony includes a legacy honor for C.K. McQuarrie- who was the UF Agricultural Experiment Station’s first statewide demonstration agent.
