Diners craving deep discounts at fave restaurants are spoiled for choice during Dine Out Lauderdale and Miami Spice, with hundreds of eateries partaking in both feasts.
Both dining promotions, kicking off Aug. 1 and running through Sept. 30, offer scores of multi-course lunches and dinners in Broward and Miami-Dade counties. Call it a sort of reward for sticking around during the stickiest summer months, if not a lifeline so your beloved restaurants can survive the slow offseason slog.
Here’s the breakdown: Dine Out Lauderdale will sell prix-fixe lunches for $35 and dinners for $45 to $75, minus tax and gratuity. Miami Spice, which for years resisted the pull of inflation by holding steady with $35-$60 meals, will increase prices for its 25th anniversary year to $40 for brunches and lunches and $50-$65 for dinners. It also is debuting a new “Miami Spice Reserve” tier starting at $95 for ultra-luxe experiences.
Dine Out Lauderdale and Miami Spice have so far posted a fraction of the deals on their websites, so always call ahead to confirm pricing, menu item availability and reservations.
That’s where our recommendations come in.
We’ve tallied the strongest deals for your dollars below, with two caveats. If you can’t imagine how $75-and-above is anyone’s idea of a discount, we can’t either, so we’ll skip those entirely. With all due respect to Michelin two-star L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon, dishing $95 lunches and $155 dinners (!), that’s a splurge too far.
Second, not every deal saves bundles of money, so it helps to compare each restaurant’s year-round menu against their advertised discount. If the discount beats the year-round prices, it’s a good deal. If the prices are the same, it’s no deal.
We crunched the numbers on three Dine Out Lauderdale and three Miami Spice prix-fixes (plus honorable mentions) that straddle the line between elegant and economical, because you can have it both ways.

There’s never been a better time to live MAASS, chef Ryan Ratino’s Michelin-starred ode to American cuisine accented with French techniques. MAASS’ prix-fixe does alter some dishes available year-round, but pick the $60 prix-fixe for an impressive deal that, to our math, would typically cost $92 (or a $32 savings): Begin with an apple and burrata salad with snap peas, pistachios and flax seed (normally $26). Continue with brioche stuffed chicken with Japanese sweet potato and apricot barbecue jus ($46), and finish with a banana miso caramel with chocolate ice cream. The deal is offered daily.

Elin and Andy Trousdale’s cozy French restaurant is still a bona-fide success story, having survived both Gordon Ramsey’s temper on “Kitchen Nightmares” and 25 years in Broward. And now its $45 prix-fixe is a success for your wallet. Begin with romaine and bleu cheese salad in Dijon roasted garlic dressing, followed by lamb shank slow-braised in a rich, Sicilian marsala with baby creamer potatoes and haricot verts. Finish with a chocolate marquise, a mousse-like dessert with almonds, raisins, marshmallows and red berry coulis. Indulgent appetite? Splurge with a beef Wellington entree for two for $75 per person. All deals are offered 5-9:30 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday.
Batch Local Kitchen

Jams, sauces, cocktail garnishes and yes, even tasty drop biscuits are all scratch-made at this Flagler Village sit-down, but the quality of Batch’s deal all depends on whether you’re having cocktails. If so, take the $45 Dine Out prix-fixe. Start with Smoked BBQ Egg Rolls (normally $16.95), order Shrimp ‘N’ Grits ($28) or Chicken ‘N’ Waffles ($29), and finish with apple cobbler bread pudding ($10) and a drink ($14-$16), and that’s $26 savings off the year-round menu. Not drinking? Skip Dine Out’s menu entirely and instead order the Seasonal Summer Prix Fixe, listed on Batch’s website, which offers the same items minus beverage for $35, for $20 total savings. The deal is offered 11:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Access to this churrascaria’s all-you-can-eat bonanza of rotisserie-grilled picanha, tri-tip, sirloins and sides of pão de queijo (cheese bread) is normally $51.99, but during Dine Out, it’s $45, and includes a cheesecake dessert (normally $12.99) for $20 total savings off the year-round pricing. Chef-restaurateur Michael Schwartz’s other spot, Amara at Paraiso, is also on the Miami Spice bill, but his Design District flagship is old enough to vote and thriving, a rare constant in a high-turnover county. And its $50 dinner is worth saluting: Start with Toulouse pork sausage, red snapper and tangy giardiniera on crisp, grilled bread. For mains, have wood-roasted oyster mushrooms with shawarma spices and caramelized onion tahini, and finish with warm caramel butter cake, rum bananas and whipped cream. Power play: Pair with Happy Hour (4-7 p.m. Sunday-Friday) cocktails ($10) and wines ($9) for maximum savings. A $40 lunch prix-fixe is available Monday through Friday only, while dinner is offered daily.
Double Luck

Amid red paper lanterns, bright Asian pop and a classic neon glow are reimagined Chinese-American classics at this year-old Michelin Bib Gourmand from the acclaimed owners of Tam Tam and Over/Under, which is dishing this excellent $50 prix-fixe. Opt for char siu ribs (normally $19) dusted in five spice and scallions to start. Continue with soy-braised beef short rib ($58) with shaved celery salad, and conclude with coconut rice pudding ($12) with passionfruit and black sesame brittle, for a total of $39 off the year-round price. The $50 prix-fixe is offered Wednesday through Sunday only.

This meat-centric spot keeps amazing with its $40 lunch prix-fixe. Begin with manchego and serrano ham croquettes in a piquillo pepper emulsion (normally $19). For entrees, pick Austrian wagyu steak frites for a $15 upcharge, which is Korean barbecue sirloin with duck-fat papas bravas and watercress endive salad ($54). For dessert, if you’re feeling extra-indulgent, have chocolate Beauty Cake ($16) with hazelnut ganache, caramelized hazelnuts and vanilla bean ice cream. Total savings: $34 off the year-round price. Pair it with $10-$12 cocktails during Happy Hour (which begins at noon) to maximize savings. This lunch deal is only offered on Friday.

Pick stone-crab bisque (no claw-cracking necessary) and the 10-ounce Joe’s Burger for entree, and yes, you can in fact eat at Joe’s on a budget. The deal’s only offered Fridays through Sundays.
