TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — After days supporting flood response efforts in Texas, Florida Task Force 7 has returned home safely to Tallahassee.

Following the team’s final operational period in San Antonio, FL-TF7 was cleared by the State of Florida to drive straight through on the return trip rather than stopping overnight in Louisiana. With home only a few hours away, crews from both agencies continued the journey and arrived back in Tallahassee around 12:30 a.m.

Throughout the deployment, FL-TF7 worked alongside task forces and response teams from across the country. The team remained ready to respond to flooding, conducted assessments and supported local communities as conditions evolved.

FL-TF7 represented the Tallahassee Fire Department and the State of Florida during the mission.
