Consolidated Dispatch Agency recognized by CALEA for continued excellence in public safety communications.
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — The Tallahassee-Leon County Consolidated Dispatch Agency has earned its third consecutive accreditation award from the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA), marking another milestone for the region’s emergency communications center.
The agency announced the achievement this week, saying the accreditation reflects its continued commitment to maintaining nationally recognized standards in public safety communications.
According to the announcement, the accreditation recognizes the agency’s dedication to excellence, professionalism and the highest standards in emergency communications. The recognition represents the dispatch center’s third consecutive accreditation from CALEA, an organization that establishes best practices and professional standards for public safety agencies across the country.
The agency also recognized Kelli Kileullen for her leadership throughout the accreditation process, thanking her for her role in helping the agency achieve the distinction.
In addition, the announcement offered special congratulations to Director David Odom, recognizing his leadership during the accreditation effort.
CALEA accreditation is a voluntary process in which agencies undergo comprehensive reviews of policies, procedures, training, operations and management practices to ensure they meet established professional standards.
The Tallahassee-Leon County Consolidated Dispatch Agency serves as the primary emergency communications center for Leon County, coordinating 911 calls and dispatching law enforcement, fire and emergency medical services throughout the region.
Officials said earning a third consecutive accreditation demonstrates the agency’s continued focus on providing high-quality emergency communications and maintaining public trust through nationally recognized best practices.
