TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — A narcotics investigation in northern Tallahassee led to three arrests and the seizure of crack cocaine, powder cocaine and Alpha-PVP, also known as Flakka, according to the Leon County Sheriff’s Office.
On Thursday, July 23, the Leon County Sheriff’s Office Vice and Narcotics Unit, assisted by members of the High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area cadre, executed a search warrant in the 600 block of 5th Avenue. During the search, detectives found crack cocaine, powder cocaine and Alpha-PVP, along with utensils used to “cook” crack cocaine.
The investigation led to the arrests of 53-year-old Lewgene Meeks, 35-year-old Montavious Bush and 43-year-old Mary Woodberry. The sheriff’s office said all three were booked into the Leon County Detention Facility and are facing several charges related to the sale of controlled substances and possession of Alpha-PVP, crack cocaine and powder cocaine.
The sheriff’s office said it was the second time in three months the Narcotics Unit executed a search warrant at the residence due to suspected street-level drug distribution, and that Meeks was involved in both investigations.

So far this year, the Leon County Sheriff’s Office Vice and Narcotics Unit, with assistance from HIDTA, has seized eight firearms believed to be associated with drug trafficking activity.
