Native Plants and Native People takes place on Saturday, August 1 at Sacred Lands Preservation and Education in St. Petersburg.
This family-friendly event invites the community to explore Florida’s Indigenous history through the lens of native plants on one of the area’s oldest archaeological sites. Visitors can participate in guided tours of the newly planted Indigenous Peoples’ Garden, hear from local experts on archaeology, native gardening, and soil health, and even take home a native plant to start their own garden.
